Moi Même Moitié

Friday, 28 October 2016

The title speaks about two subjects and they complete each other.
The reason I chose such blog title is that I consider this type of clothing as partially me.
If you've been catching up on my music taste, you'll find that a few bands/artists have something in common which is the aristocratic aesthetic.

Let me tell you about "Moi Même Moitié"

Dancing at a royal night

Friday, 21 October 2016

It was a private party at the pavillon Dauphine in Paris.
For the 20years of Kamijo's career, the latter decided to celebrate it as a royal evening : Royal night.

We were invited to enjoy the evening with music, while being served drinks and snacks.
I had absolutely no idea what to expect so I got ready, put on my Moi Même Moitié dress, had some fun with a bit of make up and left for the party.
It took me some time to find the pavillon, as I had never visited that part of Paris, and on that day I was on my own.
After asking around, I was finally led to a huge white pavillon and noticed a few people dressed as aristocrats, so definitely not wrong this time.
I waited in the row, and was a bit curious to know why it took so much time to go inside. I hoped I wasn't going to be left all behind for the showcase as I'm quite tiny.
It's only once I was Inside the hall that I realised the wait.
Kamijo was greeting everyone and taking pictures with them.

This was unexpected and a twinge of excitement fluttered in my stomach, I breathed out at the sight that after years of appreciating his music, not only was I going to see hem live, but also meeting him.

In front of me were fans with tears in their eyes and I couldn't help but smile at the joy emanating from their glittering eyes. There was nothing more satisfying than seeing people glowing with happiness.
When it was my turn, I blushed at the fascinating aura coming out of him and how delicately he took my hand to salute me. I was flabbergasted but greeted him nonetheless.

Later I joined some fans with whom I got acquainted at the orchestra room. Two rows of chairs were placed on each side, the middle left free to walk to the stage. Everyone was beautifully dressed as princes, princesses, aristocrats, elegant vampires. It was like another world.
Kamijo made his entrance, followed by his band mates, they seated in front of a group of Young talented musicians who were going to accompany the band in their performance.
Kamijo was overjoyed by our aesthethic, repeating: You are all so beautiful. He spoke about his 20years carreer as a singer before debuting his showcase.
It was the first time I was going to hear him sing live and what an outstanding voice! There was not a single trace of slip in his tone as he sang like a true prince with all his elegance.
The sound of his voice felt like a gentle carress to my ears, sending goosebumps to my skin and flutters to my heart. In my mind, I kept repeating: oh my god.
This was a huge difference compared to his indie time as singer of LaReine.
We were afterwards invited to go outside to enjoy some drinks. I got acquainted with other fans and we kept chatting about the music and other subjects we had in common such as drawing.

Out of the blue, Kamijo arrived. We expected a short salute but it was none. He spoke to each group of fans and was very casual as if we were all his friends. When he approached our group, we stood up to greet him (curtsy) to which he responded by bowing to us like a prince (the flutters in my stomach positively increased) we had a little chat and laughs. Kamijo was all smiling and having a lot of fun being so close to his fans. He is so much more relaxed than his character on stage.
Among the fans, I met a lovely couple cosplayed as Marie Antoinette and Kamijo, the costumes are breathtaking and hand-made.
When the party came to an end, we headed to the exit, only to be surprised again by Kamijo who decided at the last minute to wish us goodnight. I went to him as he greeted me with open arms and embraced me whispering : bonne nuit! His touch was very gentle. "See you in two days, sleep well!" He replied gleefully "ah yes thank you, sleep well".

With that, this sweet fairy tale came to an end and I went back home, overjoyed, inspired, and eager to see him again at the concert. That night, I feel like a princess.

Return of the King

Friday, 9 September 2016

"Vive le Roi! Vive le Roi! Vive le Roi!"

The public kept calling for him. It felt like we had turned back time.
From gothic outfits to aristocrats, we were standing there, roses lifted to greet him, waiting and calling for his presence while chanting: Vive le Roi!

The musicians made their entrance, in an elegant military outfit, preparing to announce the King's arrival. The first notes reverberated, the lights began to shine, like the moonlight over the vampire king, Kamijo. He entered the stage and claimed La Boule Noire as his secret meeting with his loyal fans, who had been eagerly waiting for his return. Vive le Roi envaded the space and so did the force of our voices. He received our energy with open arms and then started singing.

World of cosplay what to know

Friday, 12 August 2016

Hello bloggies!

How are you?

I'm so excited to share that YES I did it! I finally surrendered to this fun I longed for and cosplayed for the first as one of my favourite characters : Ciel Phantomhive from Kuroshitsuji ( Black Butler ).
I had so much fun and meet a lot of creative and nice people that performed well and had worked so much on their costume designs. If you are reading this: You are awesome and you should be proud of it!
On my side, my first plan was to purchase the original costume but as the shipping would not make it before the event, I decided to get creative with my own clothing and I'm pretty proud of the result.

Overcoming fear : Judgement

Friday, 5 August 2016

Hey bloggies,
How are you all doing?

Lately I have been keen on letting go of an inner fear.
During a meditation, I came to realize that it had no reason to exist, and the only person blocking my fun was myself.
Some may know this, but I am fond of anime and manga ( japanese cartoons).
Aside from watching, I enjoy to study also the way characters, background are drawn and how the animation is being performed.
This allows me to gain new techniques and personalize it with my own drawing manga style.
But aside from the anime, the reading, the music and the language that also pleases me, there is another theme that got my attention over the years and it's cosplay.

I love to watch cosplayers interpreting anime characters, creating short (sometimes humourous) skits about a manga or telling its tale on stage while parading in the costume, sometimes sewed with their own hands.
A tiny voice in my head whispered timidly : I want to do that, it sounds fun.

But past experiences had let me install a fear that blocked me from doing so: judgement.

Spain: Ola Estepona, Marbella!

Friday, 22 July 2016

Dear bloggies,

How is everyone doing?

What a week!

I came back from a lovely and warm vacation in Spain.
I stayed in Estepona, visited the city, and Marbella as well.

Both of these cities display a true summer vacation atmosphere. Marbella is more touristic I supposed, especially with their huge mall called : La Canada, 200 stores including a cinema, restaurants and of course shopping. It was so huge, with my short size, I would have needed a map to not get lost.

We had a lovely appartment with a large terrace, where we would have breakfast and during the evening a fresh drink while reading a book. It felt great to not be obliged to do anything and just lay down, enjoy the grass, the sun, the slight wind brushing past you and listening to the sound of nature.

Take Another Little Piece of My Heart

Friday, 13 May 2016

Hey Bloggies,

How are you?

I want to share of my greatest pleasures that is usually laced with travelling: concerts!
Now you might have noticed, I've been to quite some concerts, most of them are japanese.
I've been a fan of their music since discovering anime but I only got into the music when I was 15 years old.

At that time, I discovered my first favourite singer: Gackt Camui. Later it spread to Malice Mizer, X-Japan etc.. Of course there are also non-japanese bands/artists that I enjoy listening and I want to see some of them live.

Concerts are for me also an occasion to meet new people. It's a bit like conventions, we already have one thing in common : music. Through these events, I met great creative people and it's even better when we meet again for another gig.

Today the subject will be about my first book, or rather what has inspired and is currently inspiring me to write it.
I will title it for now book1.

I think this is the first post I will write about my book and it's quite challenging as I'm trying not to spoil everything.

Let's give it a try, shall we ? :)

Gaming : a part of me

Friday, 11 March 2016

Hey bloggies!

How are you all?

When I take a time-off writing, one of my preferred distractions is gaming.
I'm from the playstation 1 generation. I remember when I first played on Nintendo 64 and Atari.
Nowadays, I still game and amoung my recents favourites are: The Sherlock Holmes Series.

warrior princesses: shout it out!

Tuesday, 8 March 2016

Hello bloggies!

Today's post is specially dedicated to the ladies that read my blog ( gentlemen, you are welcome to join the party!)
Generations have passed and there has been a clear evolution for women regarding existence, rights and image.
Today we should all remember that we are warriors, we should look up and not down on ourselves, we are just as precious as any other being walking on this earth. We are wild flowers that bloom everyday in all shapes and colours.

I know that there are still several subjects that needs to be reviewed such as: the stereotype of beauty (men are also involved in this), image in the media, the working environment, and most importantly women's rights. I remain positive that step by step, we will be able to move forward and break these fabrications that are so far from reality.

"I screwed up my life"

Friday, 4 March 2016

You probably thought that once in your life? Or maybe you're thinking about it right now?

You should know, it's nothing to be ashamed of, because almost everyone thinks it at least once in their life.

I was one of those persons, and maybe in the future I might think it again, but this time I will know how to deal with the thought of "failure".

Failure is a feeling that sits on our chest and starts weighting on our mind.

We have all tried something to achieve and failed. We have all lost something ( a person, a project, a dream, a job...) and once it slips from our hands and we can't get it back, we sometimes have this instinctive reaction to blame ourselves and to feel that we lost years of our lives, that's it's too late to achieve a dream.

This feeling is on occasions nurtured by remarks from others such as: "stop dreaming; get a "real" job"; it's out of your league; it's too late; you're at this stage or your life and you haven't done this?..."

The comments are numerous but I guess you understand what I mean.
At some point in my life, I blamed myself for every single thing I had not achieved, even though it was due to events that I could not control, I still thought it was my own fault for not doing enough.

Interview : Sarah Armstrong-Garner

Friday, 26 February 2016

Dear all, I hope you are doing well.
Today's subject is an interview Mrs. Sarah Armstrong Garner, author of the sinking trilogy.
The launch of the first book being today, I invite you to get acquainted with the woman behind the story.

 So let's get started:

Sinking, a story told by the ocean

Sunday, 21 February 2016

Hello everyone, I hope you are doing well.

Today, I would like to review the story of "Sinking" of which I had the pleasure to read and later interview the author.

We've heard so many stories above the ocean, the tales of pirates sailing the seas, in search of a lost treasures laced with curses, chanting, dancing with the ladies and living the life of a rebel.
But this goes beneath the surface of the ocean, deep down underwater, swimming between the beautiful multicolored plants and species.

"Sinking" has been a delight to read and a great distraction after having quite some busy days at work.
The title triggered my attention as it can have multiple meanings.

Writing routine

Friday, 19 February 2016

Hey everyone,

I hope you're doing well.

Today I'm sharing with you my writing routine concerning my novel.
Usually I have a set of drafts written on notes that I put near me,  a cup of tea, biscuits (or even my meal when I'm alone),  my computer, music on and I'm sitting in a yoga position on a sofa in the living on my bedroom.

Noise doesn't really bother me so much, it depends on my mood.

Let's get into details of the writing time!

Be yourself

Friday, 12 February 2016

Be yourself, this is something I keep repeating myself. It is your primary strength and the main key to your happiness.

Based on the recent events I experienced, I thought it was important to share this with you all.

During my break, I came across several revelations that have allowed me to have a brighter vision about life, and about me.

We are all born with the same heart, and each of us has its own journey. Yet our environment can sometimes be quite disappointing and we can be judged without reason.
People, or rather society, has over the years developed all types of labels, judgements, making people change themselves just in order to fit in some of sort of "cool" community.

I have struggled with this comparison for several years, feeling like a complete alien, and most of the time, blamed myself for being different. Even when I tried to fit in, there was always something wrong, I felt like an outcast.

Nail art

Sunday, 7 February 2016

Surprise everyone! Posting more than once a week! It can happen on some very inspired occasions :).

I hope you are doing well.

Wit the recent events, I was unable to share you my 2016 resolutions.
To be fair, I used to put pressure on myself to achieve a certain level, but it has led me to learn the most important to look forward to. So here are my resolutions:

1. Be happy: not as an achievement or a goal, but making it a daily habit. Happiness is a choice and not a mission, an important lesson I've learned in 2015. So far, I've been able to adjust well.

2. Be less influenced by negative energy: vampire energies, negative talks and atmosphere are out of my  luggage, and what a relief.

3.Be grateful for every day, make the most out of it, and not take life too seriously.

Now back to our topic : Nail art.

"Agents of change"

Friday, 22 January 2016

This will be my last post tribute to Alan Rickman.

Today marks one week that he passed away.

It was difficult to let the information sink in my mind, but after expressing my emotions, support from friends and remembering the positive impact Alan Rickman had on me, I am beginning to accept his sudden departure.

Always Alan Rickman " Thank you "

Thursday, 14 January 2016

Dear all,

I am having trouble to actually start this post. The words are lost in my mind and drowned in my tears. I never expected to write this, I never saw it coming, but I need to get it out.

I was working when I received the news from my sister and afterwards from friends that sent me words
of encouragement regarding Alan Rickman's passing.

I did however have to chance to give him a message by phone my admiration and love for him. His gratefulness will forever remain in my heart.
