We are Versailles ~ Nocturnal roses

Thursday, 9 February 2017

The last moment where we were singing together with the prince was Moulin Rouge and in February it was time to gather again at Moulin Rouge in Paris.

Because of the winter weather, it was difficult to decide what to wear, I wanted to keep an elegant outfit, still be free to move and jump and of course shelter my body from the cold. As accessory I had brought my rose and an elegant black mask.
Once I was done, I headed to Moulin Rouge and found friends from the previous concert with Kamijo in September. I got acquainted with other people and we spent a lot of time talking about the Versaille's return, Royal night, Kamijo, joking and discussing about other artists we had in common.

There were quite a few reasons why I was interested in Versailles. Kamijo is a fan of Malice Mizer, one of my favourite visual kei bands and what I consider to be the first visual kei band to create different themes such as vampires, aristocrats, rock gothic, soft rock etc...
With the roots of that band, and Kamijo's personal ideas, he created the band Versailles in collaboration with Hizaki, Yuki, Teru, Masashi and of course the now deceased but eternal member Jasmine You.
I am quite fond also of the history of the French Revolution, classical music, rock and visual kei.
The combination of these factors can be found in the music of Versailles.

Dancing at a royal night

Friday, 21 October 2016

It was a private party at the pavillon Dauphine in Paris.
For the 20years of Kamijo's career, the latter decided to celebrate it as a royal evening : Royal night.

We were invited to enjoy the evening with music, while being served drinks and snacks.
I had absolutely no idea what to expect so I got ready, put on my Moi Même Moitié dress, had some fun with a bit of make up and left for the party.
It took me some time to find the pavillon, as I had never visited that part of Paris, and on that day I was on my own.
After asking around, I was finally led to a huge white pavillon and noticed a few people dressed as aristocrats, so definitely not wrong this time.
I waited in the row, and was a bit curious to know why it took so much time to go inside. I hoped I wasn't going to be left all behind for the showcase as I'm quite tiny.
It's only once I was Inside the hall that I realised the wait.
Kamijo was greeting everyone and taking pictures with them.

This was unexpected and a twinge of excitement fluttered in my stomach, I breathed out at the sight that after years of appreciating his music, not only was I going to see hem live, but also meeting him.

In front of me were fans with tears in their eyes and I couldn't help but smile at the joy emanating from their glittering eyes. There was nothing more satisfying than seeing people glowing with happiness.
When it was my turn, I blushed at the fascinating aura coming out of him and how delicately he took my hand to salute me. I was flabbergasted but greeted him nonetheless.

Later I joined some fans with whom I got acquainted at the orchestra room. Two rows of chairs were placed on each side, the middle left free to walk to the stage. Everyone was beautifully dressed as princes, princesses, aristocrats, elegant vampires. It was like another world.
Kamijo made his entrance, followed by his band mates, they seated in front of a group of Young talented musicians who were going to accompany the band in their performance.
Kamijo was overjoyed by our aesthethic, repeating: You are all so beautiful. He spoke about his 20years carreer as a singer before debuting his showcase.
It was the first time I was going to hear him sing live and what an outstanding voice! There was not a single trace of slip in his tone as he sang like a true prince with all his elegance.
The sound of his voice felt like a gentle carress to my ears, sending goosebumps to my skin and flutters to my heart. In my mind, I kept repeating: oh my god.
This was a huge difference compared to his indie time as singer of LaReine.
We were afterwards invited to go outside to enjoy some drinks. I got acquainted with other fans and we kept chatting about the music and other subjects we had in common such as drawing.

Out of the blue, Kamijo arrived. We expected a short salute but it was none. He spoke to each group of fans and was very casual as if we were all his friends. When he approached our group, we stood up to greet him (curtsy) to which he responded by bowing to us like a prince (the flutters in my stomach positively increased) we had a little chat and laughs. Kamijo was all smiling and having a lot of fun being so close to his fans. He is so much more relaxed than his character on stage.
Among the fans, I met a lovely couple cosplayed as Marie Antoinette and Kamijo, the costumes are breathtaking and hand-made.
When the party came to an end, we headed to the exit, only to be surprised again by Kamijo who decided at the last minute to wish us goodnight. I went to him as he greeted me with open arms and embraced me whispering : bonne nuit! His touch was very gentle. "See you in two days, sleep well!" He replied gleefully "ah yes thank you, sleep well".

With that, this sweet fairy tale came to an end and I went back home, overjoyed, inspired, and eager to see him again at the concert. That night, I feel like a princess.

Return of the King

Friday, 9 September 2016

"Vive le Roi! Vive le Roi! Vive le Roi!"

The public kept calling for him. It felt like we had turned back time.
From gothic outfits to aristocrats, we were standing there, roses lifted to greet him, waiting and calling for his presence while chanting: Vive le Roi!

The musicians made their entrance, in an elegant military outfit, preparing to announce the King's arrival. The first notes reverberated, the lights began to shine, like the moonlight over the vampire king, Kamijo. He entered the stage and claimed La Boule Noire as his secret meeting with his loyal fans, who had been eagerly waiting for his return. Vive le Roi envaded the space and so did the force of our voices. He received our energy with open arms and then started singing.

Travelling alone + Meeting Miyavi in Paris

Friday, 16 October 2015

Hello everyone,

I hope you're doing well.

In my previous post about travelling to Paris to Miyavi's concert, I had mentioned that it was the first time I was travelling alone, and I wanted to share this with you what it's like.
How did all of this happen? To be honest I was not waiting for it, it was kind of a bad timing.

I had planned to meet my friend at the airport and leave with her to where we would spend our nights.
I was waiting in the plane and sending the last messages to my relatives when I suddenly received a message that my friend's trip had been cancelled ( At that moment the stewart had requested me to turn off my phone ).

Miyavi " The Others " concert Paris Bataclan

Friday, 9 October 2015

Hello everyone,

I am back with some fresh posts about recent events.

Let's begin with my trip to Paris to see Miyavi san again.
The last time I had seen him was in Morocco at Manga Afternoon ( Miyavism and Japan )

This time I flew for a very short trip to Paris with an unexpected turn of events.
Upon my arrival, I had quickly gone to look for the Bataclan, where the concert would be held to be on time
the next day.

I arrived early in the morning and found a few fans waiting outside as well. Thankfully, it meant that I would not get bored.
While I waited, I got the chance to speak with the fans, coming from all over Europe again and even made some new friends.
I would like to point out that this was my first concert alone.

Cosplayers
Today i'm sharing my first ever experience at an anime convention.
As a teenager, it was my dream to someday set foot at the Japan Expo convention in Paris and to experience its energy.

My expectations were quit low compared to what I saw.

It required patience but it came true. The word impossible was merely an illusion.
This is what I strongly remember in my mind at Yoshiki Hayashi's concert.

During and after the show, most of my talk included: "wow", "incredible", "I can't believe it".

VAMPS : Come On, we're ready!

vamps-concert-olympia-paris-france

While I was in Paris, i went to a concert with a great friend of a japanese band called: VAMPS. it's Hideto Takarai's ( hyde, pronounced "haido" by the fans) solo project. He is known to be the singer of japanese band "Laruku" ( Tetsuya's the leader).

I waited seven years to finally see Hyde live on stage. Due to my schedule, I was unable to attend Laruku's concert last year, so I wasn't going to miss this chance.

BLACK LINE ~ Don't let me down!

Tuesday, 11 December 2012

rocking!
It was powerful and fun! It was an explosion of energy and adrenaline!
I had sore muscles after the concert but every fiber of my being had felt this sting of happiness.
It was a last minute decision with a friend, so we went to the concert hall called B-Rock. We kept waiting with the fans and kept chatting with some that even came from Europe to see them.
The band was curious to meet us, so sometimes they would peek at us from a corner and be all excited. It made me smile. Their energy made me understand that I wasn't going to regret this evening.

hell yeah!
When we got inside the hall, I managed to get very close to the stage. A few minutes later, the band entered and then there was the explosion of energy.
With the singer's rough voice, the bassist and guitarist duo head banging and the wildness of the drummer on his drumset, I could see the glow in their eyes as they were living their dream. This concert was actually their first opening concert for their european tour.

Regarding the songs, it was loud but nonetheless poetic.
Sometimes we would dance, head-bang, sometimes we remained still or lifted our arms all together following a ballad's tune. However, the band's style is essentially rock with a touch of visual kei (japanese music style).

What was cute to know was that Mikaru ( the singer ) was trying his best to communicate in english, despite lacking some vocabulary, he kept trying to make himself clear in his speech. Thankfully, he was more than clear with his words and declared he was very glad to be here for this first european ( and so were we ).
We sang him Happy Birthday at some time during the concert, which took him by surprise and he lost track of his words at some point, which made us all laugh.

happiness ♥
There were laughs, smiles, looks, crowd-surfing ( I think they enjoy that) and sweet thoughts that I was still in a dreamy state when I got outside, like "wow that awesome!"
That week of hard working finally got lost in my mind and gave place to that great concert sensation.
At the signing-session, I was overjoyed to have some time to talk with Mikaru, we had a little chat about their gig, the city, the evening..
I also had some time with Yudai, Jun and Syu, we decided to keep in touch and hoped to meet again in the future.

Mikaru is quite a charmer and I must say it did give me butterflies in my stomach. I wish I could have had more time with him to discuss about our respective dreams as he seemed to be very motivated and determined to achieve his dreams in any possible way.
This type of aura is inspiring and I hope to meet more people like him.

Syumurai ♥

Syu, also called Syumurai is the drummer and entertained us greatly. During his solo act, I was able to capture this picture of him doing an X sign, which reminded me of XJapan.
After some time, I discovered that he is also an XJapan fan. This made me appreciate him even more. He was very gentle during the meeting. Sadly enough, due to lack of time, we couldn't take a picture together. Who knows, maybe next time..

Actually, if it were possible I would want to meet them right here and right now, I would be waiting at the hall, eargerly seeking for them to show up, even if I would break my voice in the end.
Concerts, especially rock for me, are such breathtaking events. Each time, it's an adventure, a new chapter of my journey.

concert Rihanna

Tuesday, 9 October 2012

I just came back from a wicked concert. I've never jumped that much during a gig. And even though my lungs were running out of air, I jumped, screamed, sang with all my energy. I might be exaggerating, but it took me some time to realize that I wasn't dreaming.

Waiting in the cold winter breeze

It begins!

It's been two years since now but the memories are still fresh in my mind. I had bought the concert ticket 3 days before the gig.
I waited for hours in the cold in front of the concert hall with the fans, but since we were numerous, the cold hadn't disturbed us that much. When they opened the doors, I ran with my cousin to be as close as possible to the first row. I ended not far away from it, so it was enough.
While we waited for the band to show up, the staff had put some music on for us. The hall had become like a pub with all the dancing, chatting and laughing with the fans.

Pain of love, Tom & Georg's live duo

Georg
The dutch rock band "only seven left" opened the show as a supporting act, the music reminded me of simple plan. They seemed a bit nervous at the beginning but they managed to entertain the public and gain the attention of probably future fans. One of the songs I remembered was : "forever is a lie".
Afterwards, Tokio hotel made its entrance. I had goosebumps while the hall was getting dark and heartbeats began to reverberate around us. The heartbeats become louder and quicker until a dark robotic voice murmured: Welcome to the Humanoid City, sending the fans in hysterics and with that, one by one, the band entered the stage and set off with the song: Make some noise.  The set-list was perfect, I hadn't danced that much for some time. It felt good to forget the studies and let yourself go in a fun atmosphere. The boys were a delight to be with, very friendly and close to the fans. I enjoyed every interaction, whether it was a smile from Bill, Tom's dancing, Georg's headbanging or Gustav's "Olee!" game at the end.

They know how to entertain during a concert. We jumped, sang, danced, screamed and laughed. I felt like I was in another world. When we got outside, the adrenaline and the warmth of the gig made me unaware of the cold wind. I was overly excited. I left my cousin at the goodies store and rushed outside towards the parking  with the fans to see the boys coming out...The rest is history ;)

In the car,  tears of happiness were running down my cheeks from that overwhelming feeling I had experienced. I felt so happy and everything that used to bothered me seemed useless. What I had was enough and I would cherish every single moment for the rest of my life.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you for this evening, thank you Bill, Tom, Gustav and Georg and see you soon! is bald jungs!

Yummy!

To finish off this trip, I had diner with my cousin and her friends at moroccan restaurant. We had a great time and laughs. I can't wait to relive this experience in the near future. Moroccan dishes are somewhat different in foreign restaurants than in the local country, especially homemade meals, but nevertheless delicious.

Concert Enrique Iglesias

Friday, 13 April 2012

" tonight i'm loving you"

Aah souvenirs, souvenirs!

Ma première réaction : Blimey, it's James Blunt! On ne s'attendait pas à le rencontrer.

allez sourions!
 A très vite Blunty!
